Ayaz Memon, Editor-at-Large with DNA, is widely regarded as India's best writer on sports, especially cricket. Apart from writing, he is also a sports television commentator and anchor.
A graduate in economics and law from Mumbai University, Ayaz has been a professional journalist for 30 years. He has been editor of Sportsweek (1987-89), Mid-Day (1993-2000), Bombay Times (2000-2004) and national sports editor of the Times of India (2000-2005).
He has authored several books, including three on cricket and one on 50 years of Independence in 1997 titled 'India 50 - The Making of a Nation'.
He lives with his wife and two children in Mumbai.
