Ingredients
For the pancakes
Refined flour (maida) 200 grams
Baking powder ½ teaspoon
Rice powder 2 tablespoons
Milk as required
Oil for shallow frying
Honey as required
For the stuffing
Cashewnuts, coarsely powdered ½ cup
Khoya/mawa, grated ½ cup
Powdered sugar 2-3 tablespoons
Milk 2 tablespoons
Method
1. Place refined flour in a bowl. Add baking powder and rice powder and mix. Add milk and whisk well to make a smooth batter.
2. Place crushed cashewnuts in a bowl. Add khoya and powdered sugar and mix. Add a little milk and mix.
3. Heat sufficient water in a steamer.
4. Heat a pan, pour two ladles full of batter and rotate the pan to spread it evenly. Cook till the underside is done. Gently remove the pancake and set aside. Make more pancakes similarly.
5. Place the pancakes on the worktop and put some filling on one end of each. Roll and place them on a dish. Place the dish in the steamer and steam for five minutes.
6. Alternatively heat a little oil in a pan, place some rolls on it and cook till lightly golden all around.
7. Drizzle a little honey on top and serve hot.
