Shilpa Shetty demonstrates various forms of yoga exercises that can be performed while standing.

 

Tadasana (The Palm Tree Pose) reinforces the straightness in a person's posture, improves balance, self awareness and breathing.

 

Prishthasana increases flexibility, conditions the spine and the spinal muscles and helps breathe better. It is performed to prepare the body for performing all standing asana's.

 

Padahastasana (Forward Bending) is excellent to condition the leg and knee joints. It helps in losing abdominal fat and increases blood supply to the brain.

 

Chakrasana Standing (The Wheel Pose) is a good exercise for the spine. It fights fat around the waist.

 

Vrikshasana (The Tree Pose) is the best exercise to maintain one's balance and it increases a person's level of concentration while strengthening leg muscles.

 

Natrajasana (Lord Shiva's Pose) helps improve sense of balance and concentration. It aligns the vertebrae while restoring suppleness and eases strain caused by a bad posture. It also tones the thigh and lower body muscles.

 

Utkatasana (The Squat and Rise Posture) is highly beneficial for the lower body, especially for women. It strengthens the knee joints, the quadriceps and the calves. It also burns the fat accumulated on thighs and the waist.

 

Veerbhadrasana (The Warrior Pose) strengthens the legs and the arms and improves balance and concentration.
