Shilpa Shetty demonstrates various forms of yoga exercises that can be performed while sitting.

 

Vajrasana (The Thunder Bolt Pose) is excellent for legs and digestive system. It is a well known meditative posture.

 

Parvatasana (Mountain Pose) adds flexibility to the spine and strengthens the lower back. It is extremely effective for muscles of the neck, shoulders and cervical vertebrae.

 

Shashankasana (The Hare Pose) helps calm an overactive mind by directing fresh blood and excess oxygen to the brain. It also tones the groin and thighs. 

 

Ustrasana (The Camel Pose) stretches the spine, back muscles, shoulders and arms.

 

Marjari Asana (The Cat Pose) ensures that the spine and the neck remain in a perfect condition. It is extremely beneficial for pregnant women and new mothers.

 

Vyaghrasana (The Tiger Pose) impacts the abdominal muscles and the spinal nerves. This asana too is extremely beneficial for pregnant women and new mothers.

 

Yoga Mudra is an excellent workout for the abdominal muscles and increases overall flexibility.

 

Vakrasana (The Twisting Pose) increases the elasticity of the spine, aids digestion and helps the central nervous system.
