Amrita Rao is reportedly smitten by Bollywood newcomer Vishal Malhotra and the pair is allegedly in a relationship. However, Amrita has dismissed the news as baseless rumors and has said that Vishal is only a good friend.

Vishal is a well known face on Indian Television but is still to make a mark in Bollywood. Reports suggest that Amrita's parents are against the relationship and want Amrita to be with someone who can match her stature in Bollywood. So while Vishal admits that Amrita holds a special place in his life, Amrita refuses to admit to their relationship.

Movie Story

Amrita Rao started her career as a model. After bagging the Cadbury's Perk Karwa Chaut advertisement and the Bru Coffee ad, she started getting Bollywood movie offers.

Amrita Rao made her acting debut in 2002 with the film Ab Ke Baras for which she won the Star Screen Award for the Most Promising Newcomer - Female. Her popular movies include Main Hoon Na and Sooraj R. Barjatya's Vivah opposite Shahid Kapoor. The promising actress has won the coveted Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award for her performance in Vivaah.
