The cast and crew of the film 99 which includes Boman Irani, Kunal Khemu, Cyrus Broacha and Simone Singh attended its music release at Fun Republic recently.

In fact, they got so caught up in the event that they even joined to sing on stage.

"The music of 99 has great variety," said Boman. "There's a love song, a disco song, a Punjabi song, a ballad, an emotional song. It's been a while since we've had such variety in a single film track. I wanted to jump up and sing, as you can see I have been doing, when I heard the music. And if a non singer like me can like it so much that I want to sing, I am sure the audience will like it too," he said.

Movie Story

99 is a comedy set in the year 1999. The film's characters have one thing in common - speaking metaphorically, they are all stuck at 99 in their respective lives, and are looking out for that one elusive run to complete their century, or in other words to make it big in life.

The film is spread over two cities with colorful characters, unbelievable circumstances, small-time crooks, big-time conspiracies, car crashes, loads of coffee, a briefcase full of money, a budding romance... and a historical controversy brewing in the background.

Kunal Khemu plays Sachin, who is full of big ideas but he is unable to implement any of them, while Soha Ali Khan plays Pooja, a typical Delhi girl who is pretty wild. Boman Irani plays Rahul, an ordinary guy with an ordinary job who thinks he has figured out how luck works. Cyrus Broacha pays Zaramud, Sachin's friend who constantly lands Sachin and himself in trouble. Vinod Khanna plays JC, who likes to live big, it doesn't matter whether it is by hook or crook.
