As it turns out they could not be more wrong. With the end of the ice age, a new and deadly species known as dinosaurs threaten their existence.

Movie Story

Life has changed for Manny (Ray Romano), Sid (John Leguizamo), Diego (Denis Leary) and Scrat (Chris Wedge). Scrat continues to put his life before any harm comes to his beloved acorn. But his priorities may change after he finds himself falling in love with a female saber-tooth squirrel Scratte (Karen Disher). Manny and Ellie (Queen Latifah) are expecting their first child, which pushes Manny to ensure everything in his life is absolutely perfect.

But Manny's obsession makes Diego and Sid feel unimportant. Diego starts getting the feeling that he is nothing more than a house cat and he is losing his edge. Meanwhile, Sid starts yearning for a family of his own. To fulfill his desire, Sid steals a few dinosaur eggs. Sid's act lands him in a strange underground lair of the dinosaurs from where his only hope of rescue are his friends.
