In reality the Blackjack team comprised of Asian American members, however the movie has mostly white men playing the various characters.

Story:-

Ben Campbell (Jim Sturgess)  is a brilliant MIT student, dreaming of getting into the Harvard School of Medicine; but Ben needs big money to pay his school tutions, the money that he doesn't have.
Mickey Rosa ( Kevin Spacey), a professor in Math and a genius in stats comes to his rescue when he invites Ben to join his five other MIT students and learn the skill of card counting.
Armed with Mickey's brilliant training, the group goes to Las Vegas' casinos and beats all of them to win every blackjack game. Bearing the risk, the group earns millions of dollars until one of the casinos find out....
