Yuvvraaj Movie Review

The Salman-Katrina romance failed to draw a large crowd to the cinema halls on the first show.

The audience reaction to the multi-starrer film was mixed with the opinions ranging from very good to poor. The ones who liked the movie appreciated the story by Subhash Ghai and the performances by the towering star cast.

Music maestro A R Rehman also received praises from the audience, especially with the Kunal Ganjawala track Aaja Ve Hawaaon Mein. However, the film received severe criticism for its unnecessary length and a boring and old storyline.

In spite of the divided opinions, Salman Khan's performance received accolades from across the audience. Anil Kapoor also received praise for playing the mentally unstable character.

The film's success at the box-office mostly depends on the multiplexes and the family audiences.

Divakar (Salman Khan), a musician with the Prague-based International Symphony Orchestra, is in love with fellow musician Anushka (Katrina Kaif). Anushka's billionaire father resents Divakar's low paying job and is opposed to their marriage.
Divakar is in reality a billionaire's son, who has been disowned by his father. One day Divakar receives the news of his father's death and learns his father has left his entire estate in the name of his mentally challenged brother Gyanesh (Anil Kapoor).

The decision shocks the entire family, especially Divakar's youngest brother Danish (Zayed Khan), who had hoped to inherit the fortune to fuel his gambling and casanova lifestyle.

Divakar joins hands with Danish to appease Gyanesh, hoping to receive a part of his father's fortune. A harried Gyanesh requests Divakar, whom he likes for his musical ability, to take him somewhere else.

Divakar and Gyanesh arrive in Prague, where they meet Anushka. Gyanesh starts to like Anushka, her music and the new place. He also discovers his own talent for music. Frustrated with the delay, Danish joins them too.

Each character in the movie sets out on a personal journey to fulfill their selfish interests. They all go through a dramatic transformation. Will Divakar and Danish succeed in their selfish quests or will Gyanesh show them the simple pleasures of life and convert them?
