According to reports, 40-year-old pop diva Mariah Carey has been offered the role of 21-year-old High School Musical actress Vanessa Hudgens' mother in a new comedy flick. But according to insiders, Mariah may not take that up as she is not ready to age that soon.

The film is based on ‘X-factor' and ‘American Idol' type show.
