Like every year, Subhash Ghai invited a noted film personality to his acting school, Whistling Woods, to honor them for their commitment to cinema. This year, the honor was bestowed upon Rajkumar Hirani, who has churned out three continuous blockbusters in a row.

The press was present to cover the event and Hirani was questioned about how the recent spate of suicides is being linked to his film based on educational pressures. Hirani feels that 3 Idiots tries to bring awareness about the need to relax the pressure of education on students.
