Story

What is the use of all the world-class knowledge and skills if it can't please lady-luck in allowing you to lead a satisfactory life? This is exactly what Raj Malhotra is going through, even after numerous academic achievements and accolades. Anxious to set his faulty luck into the correct mode, Raj seeks advice from an oracle, Hasina Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla).
The fortune-teller informs Raj that his days of gloom are about to end and his stars are going to change for good. But for all those wonderful things to happen, Raj needs to find his lucky charm and keep it with himself. She refuses to divulge any more details and Raj is left pondering, trying to untangle the mystery.
During this phase, Raj meets Priya (Vidya Balan), a kind and caring person. She aspires to make the world a better place. All of a sudden, Raj finds himself showered in all sorts of riches. His life becomes prosperous and happier. All this makes Raj wonder if he has unknowingly found his lucky charm.
