Story:-

Set in the 1970's, the film tells the story of Om Prakash Makhija (Shahrukh Khan) and Shantipriya (Deepika Padukone). Om, a junior artist in film industry aspires to become a superstar someday but more than being a superstar, he hopes to find true love in his life. While Shantipriya, who already is a superstar, desires true and fulfilling love. Om is deeply fascinated with Shanti. Her superstar status inspires and motivates him. He can only observe her from a distance but one day through sheer coincidence they share the same space. Thus begins the hope of love for Om. But their amorous journey doesn't complete there. It takes another lifetime, a re-incarnation for them to re-unite their love.
