After keeping her away from the media glare, the latest Yash Raj discovery Anushka Sharma, who stars in Aditya Chopra directed Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, is finally presented before the curious media by her co-star Shah Rukh Khan (SRK). Khan introduces Anushka to media persons waiting for a tete-a-tete with the ravishing beauty.

SRK tries to make light of the time taken to introduce his co-star to the world. "Now that we're married, have completed our honeymoon and have a few mini Suris running around, I thought I should introduce you to my new bride," the badshah of Bollywood says. The statement invites squeals of giggles from Anushka.

Dressed in a crisp black suit with a silver-grey shirt peeping out, SRK addresses the gathering in his Surinder Sahni Punjabi accent. "Please be kind to her as this is the first time she is facing the media. Don't reveal all my secrets as yet; I don't want her to run back to Bangalore," requests the superstar.

Once handed the mike, the confident poise of Anushka betrays the coaching she has received at handling the media. "I am really happy to meet you guys and right now I'm still reeling from the joy of being handled by the best in the industry, Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan. Thank you and thank you Shah Rukh," Anushka, looking gorgeous in a purple and gold Anarkali suit, says.

Anushka is all set to retrace Deepika Padukone's steps. After Deepika saw overnight stardom with SRK in Om Shantsi Om, it seems Anushka's stars is about to be realigned as well.

Trivia

Anushka Sharma started ramp modeling at the age of 15 in Bangalore.

Movie Story

Surinder Sahni (Shah Rukh Khan) works for Punjab Power Corporation. A simple and shy person, Surinder falls in love with bubbly and bold Taani (Anushka Sharma), the moment he sees her.

Circumstances force Taani to marry Surinder after her fiancé's death. However, Taani makes it clear to Surinder that she will never be able to love him.

Surinder sees Taani smile first time after ages when she decides to join a dance school and participate in a dance competition. While Surinder looks for ways to win Taani's heart, his friend Bobby (Vinay Pathak) urges him to join dance classes too, to be near Taani. Bobby gives such a makeover to Surinder that no one, including Taani, can not recognize him.

Luck makes Surinder Taani's dance partner. Surinder introduces himself to Taani as Raj. As Raj, Surinder is a completely different person, uninhibited, outspoken and garishly loud.

One day, Raj expresses his love to Taani. After refusing initially, Taani thinks Raj is the ideal person for her. Surinder is sad; Taani loves Raj and not Surinder, his real self. The tale of man's struggle to win his love ends on a happy note.
