Manasi Scott Will Release Her New Album Only in India

Manasi Scott is back in lime light after the stupendous success of her 2005 album Naach Le. Her new, untitled album boasts of top singers and musicians.

Manasi was recently recording for this album with Mika Singh when we chatted up with her about the music and the current pop music scene in India. According to Manasi the Indian pop music market is still in its nascent stage, “The west has understood the importance of promoting the artist to ensure the success of an album. In India, the music industry is so big that the artists are lost in the crowd.”

Manasi is convinced that once we start promoting our artists, they are going to go worldwide, and no, she herself is not yet ready to face the international market. She feels that it's a different ballgame altogether out there and so there is no plan of international release for her forthcoming album. She would definitely venture into the uncharted territory, but only after gaining a stable foothold in the Indian market. Â
