Mika and Controversies go together

Mika Singh, younger brother of the Bhangra pop king Daler Mehndi, is as much famous for his off beat style of singing as for being in the center of controversies. Remember the famous kissing incident involving Rakhi Sawant, the current Bollywood bombshell? It was Mika's birthday party, and the birthday boy had, apparently, 'forcibly' smooched Rakhi in front of the guests and in full media glare.

Mypopkorn.com quizzed Mika on his daredevilry at Meet Bros Music Co., where he was recording a duet with Manasi Scott for her forthcoming untitled album.

“I did not do that on purpose. I don't court controversies. But yes, if someone confronts me, then I don't hesitate to give back,” he says very nonchalantly.

Mika has no hesitations in taking on Himesh Reshmmiya too. According to Mika, it was he who had introduced the nasal singing style, and not Himesh, “I started the trend of nasal singing. Himesh has merely copied my style. I, therefore, changed my style and gave the super hit Ganpat…daru la… in Shootout at Lokhandwala.”
