Artist Biography

DJ Sanj has been a part of the South Asian music scene for more than a decade. Known for his talent in music production, DJ Sanj is also popular as singer/rapper N-Jas. He is amongst the very few North American based DJs to have ventured into Bollywood. In 2007, he worked on the song 'Kamrey mein aaja' for the movie 'Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamana'. DJ Sanj has worked on multiple albums in the year 2007, including his bhangra album 'American Desi', and a hip-hop album 'Bollywood Punk' which will feature 'Hum tumhe chate hain' from the film Qurbani, with video shot in New York City.

N-Jas a.k.a DJ Sanj has also worked on the production of Deep and Kamla Punjabi's album 'Duniya Nachde'. Apart from these, he has also worked on the AWOL album, a compilation of the best of Sanj and his Asian House album entitled 'Global Karma'.

DJ Sanj has worked on a number of projects in India. Besides touring the country, DJ Sanj has also worked on the Lux Soap advertisement featuring Aishwarya Rai. His stint in Bollywood has brought him to work on a project with Yana Gupta and movies produced by Mukesh Bhatt and Rohan Sippy. His projects in the United States include an album for DJ Scribbles and MTV Kru.
