Abhisek Lahiri is one of the most popular sarod players among the listeners of Indian classical music. He has impressed audience worldwide, also receiving a fair amount of critical acclaim.

 
Abhisek has been training himself for the sarod since a very tender age, under the guidance of his father and guru, Pandit Aloke Lahiri.

 
He has performed at various venues all over America and Europe, the most notable being at the European Parliament in Strasburg, France in 2002.

 
Ranked as an “A Grade” artist of All India Radio and the Indian National Television, Abhisek has achieved several milestones at a very young age, one of them was when he received the Presidents award in the All India Radio Music Competition.
