Jun 26, 2009: International Cricket Council (ICC) Executive Committee on Friday in London has decided to take away from Pakistan its right to hold the 14 matches of the 2011 World Cup citing security reasons.

It also ruled out the possibility of holding these matches in a fifth country, which was mooted by Pakistan as a neutral option.

These matches will now be held in the three co-host countries of India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh instead.
