Jul 9, 2009: Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, suffering from abdominal pain, has been advised rest.
Amitabh, who was supposed to travel to Singapore has scraped his plans and underwent different tests for the stomach ailment.
The doctors refused to give details.
Earlier, Amitabh was hospitalized on October 11 after he complained of stomach pain.
Amitabh Bachchan, the most popular Bollywood star, made his debut with Saat Hindusthani (1970) directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas.
However, it was Zanjeer (1973) that made Amitabh a household name and gave him the title of angry young man in Bollywood.
Since then it's never looking back for the actor who ruled the industry in the 80s with several blockbusters.
Termed as 'one man army' by veteran Hindi film producer-director Manmohan Desai, Bachchan continues to entertain the new generation of audiences with variety of roles.
The 68-year-old actor has three National Awards to his credit -- Saat Hindusthani in 'Best Newcomer' category, while for Agneepath (1990) and Black (2005) he won the trophies in 'Best Actor' category.
He has won four Filmfare Best Actor awards so far for Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Don (1978), Agneepath, Hum (1991) and Black.
In Best Supporting Actor category, he has bagged three awards for Anand (1971), Namak Haraam (1973) and Mohabbatein (2000).
