Jun 8, 2009: Key aide of BJP leader Sudheendra Kulkarni has come under fire from his party for making some comments on ‘disarray' within the organisation in ‘Tehelka' magazine.

Kulkarni, who is considered close to BJP leader L K Advani, attributed Varun Gandhi's hate speech's negative impact and Sangh Parivar's total helplessness as one of the main reasons for the party's defeat at the Lok Sabha polls in an article.

He also faulted the party's strategy of promoting Gujarat CM Narendra Modi as the future Prime Minister ahead of the polls.

BJP leader and Deputy Leader of the Opposition sought to distance herself from Kulkarni's comments, saying that it was his personal opinion.

Even L K Advani was said to be upset with Kulkarni's article.
