May 7, 2009: A person was killed and few others injured in a clash between two groups at a polling booth in Punjab's Ferozepur on Thursday.

The groups pelted stones at each other and also open fired, which led to the polling for the forth phase of Lok Sabha elections at the booth being halt for some time.

Police doubted the firing took place following internal rivalry between the two groups.

Besides Ferozepur, polling for the penultimate round is underway in three other constituencies -- Bhatinda, Sangrur and Patiala -- of the state.
