Jul 6, 2009: India won the ODI series against West Indies 2-1 after the fourth and final match was abandoned due to rains on Sunday.

Captain M S Dhoni was adjudged Man of the Series for scoring a maximum 182 runs in the tournament.

In the final ODI, Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl.

Ishant Sharma made the intentions of the team clear when he picked up Chris Gayle on the second bowl. Gayle was caught behind by Dhoni.

However, rains proved to be a spoilsport and the match had to be abandoned after seven overs were bowled.
