September 8 (2200 hrs) Mumbai Police on Monday has barred Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray from speaking to media, apart from holding protests till October 7.

This comes in the wake of the threat issued by Raj Thackeray to Bachchans that all the movies starring its family members would not be allowed screening in Maharashtra, until Jaya Bachchan tenders an apology for her remarks made during audio release of film 'Drona', starring her son Abhishek Bachchan.

Her insistence on speaking in Hindi caused the ire of MNS party workers, who burnt posters of film starring Amitabh Bachchan in Dadar locality of Mumbai.

There has been no love lost between Raj Thackeray and the Bachchans after the former attacked Big B of being loyal to his home state UP over his adopted state Maharashtra.
