Aug 24, 2009: MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Monday met Bollywood actor Salman Khan on the occasion of Ganesh festival.

 

This is the first time since the formation of MNS that Raj Thackeray has met any Bollywood star.

 

Raj was at Salman's residence for over an hour.

 

Already several Bollywood stars have visited the Khan household in Bandra which installs Ganesh idol for one and half day every year.

Background

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray was arrested in wee hours on October 21 from Ratnagiri in connection with attack on north Indian students.

He was charged with inciting violence, rioting, assault and damage to property.

Later, Kalyan Court granted bail to MNS chief in the case.

The Kalyan Court’s decision was challenged in the High Court by the state government.
