Shah Rukh Khan Impressed with Mumbai Doctors

Feb 17, 2009: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who underwent shoulder surgery at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, was discharged on Tuesday.

Shah Rukh has been advised to four-six months rest.

On Monday Dr Sanjay Desai, who operated the 43-year-old actor, had said the superstar would be discharged in two days.

However, after check-ups earlier in the day, King Khan was released.  

Shah Rukh, who torn main muscle of his left shoulder during shooting of movie Dulha Mil Gaya in November last year, was all praises for doctors who operated on him.

He said finest doctors in the world are in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh's fans thronged the hospital to wish him a speedy health recovery.

The superstar's friends in the Hindi film industry, actors Arjun Rampal, Juhi Chawla, director-producer Karan Johar and choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan paid visit to him.

It was Shah Rukh's second surgery. Earlier in 2003, he had undergone knife in London for a back problem.

Shah Rukh made his debut with film Deewana in 1992.

Since then Shah Rukh, also known as King Khan has ruled the box-office with many successful flicks like Darr, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kal Ho Naa Ho.

SRK has 13 Filmfare Awards under his belt, seven of which he won in the Best Actor category.

Besides acting, Shah Rukh has also produced films and hosted popular TV shows like Kaun Banega Crorepati.
