Jun 18, 2009: Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, accused of raping his maid servant was on Thursday sent to judicial remand till July 2.

The court, while rejecting the prosecution demand for police custody, also allowed Shiney to move bail application.

Shiney, who was arrested on June 14 after his maid lodged a complaint of sexual assault, was remanded to police custody of three days which expired today.

The medical tests of the victim have already confirmed rape and reportedly Shiney too had confessed the crime.

Meanwhile, a former domestic help of Shiney has claimed that the victim had confessed her love for the actor.

Shiney Ahuja made his film debut with Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2003).

Gangster, Woh Lamhe (2006); Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) and Life in a Metro (2007) are some of his successful flicks.

He is married to Anupam and has a two-year-old daughter.
