Apr 11, 2009: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday hit out at at BJP's prime ministerial candidate LK Advani during an election rally in Jamui in Bihar.

She questioned as to what Advani, who was the Deputy PM and Home Minster during NDA rule, did to tackle the issue of terrorism.

His major achievement was to release a dreaded terrorist, she added.

She also asked what was done for the welfare of farmers, tribals and poor people during his tenure

Referring to attacks on Parliament, J & K Assembly, Raghunath Temple and Akshardham Temple, she asked what the NDA government was doing when they took place.

Taking an aggressive stance, she accused Advani of doing nothing but giving worthless speeches as he did not have any issue on hand.
