Jul 4, 2009: India beat West Indies by six wickets as per Duckworth Lewis method in the rain-marred third game of the four ODI series to take an insurmountable lead in the tournament.

Invited to bat first, West Indies put on 185/7 in 27 overs.

Ramnaresh Sarwan was the top scorer for the hosts with his knock of 62 runs.

Skipper Chris Gayle made 27 off 14 balls. He hit six boundaries.

Runako Morton scored 22 runs.

India's chase was disrupted by rains again in the 14th over of the innings following which the target was revised to 159 in 22 overs.

The 84-run opening stand between Gautam Gambhir and Dinesh Karthik and an unbeaten 46-run innings by captain M S Dhoni ensured India clinched the victory to take the unbeatable lead of 2-1.
