Jun 15, 2009: Gujarat Police on Monday recovered obscene MMS clips from the mobile phone of Tariq Sayyed, an accused in the Surat gang rape case.

The clips show rape on seven other girls.

Police are now searching the seven victims to strengthen their case against Sayyed.

The officials are also investigating the SMS records of Sayyed.

Background

A 17-year-old school girl was allegedly raped by three youths on June 12 in Surat.

The girl, who was on her way to tuition classes, was allegedly pulled inside a car by the trio and was raped.

Later she was dumped on outskirts of the city.
