May 15, 2009: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhara Rao on Friday reiterated his support to the BJP-led NDA front.

 

TRS, which broke off from the Third Front, decided to extend its support to the NDA at the Ludhiana rally.

 

Chandrasekhara Rao was confident that the NDA would form the new government at the Centre by bagging over 331 seats.

 

He said that nobody could entice him as his only desire was the formation of the Telangana state, which has been included in NDA's manifesto

 

Rao also said that he would stand by only the NDA, which had promised to carve out a separate state within 100 days of its coming to power.

Background

Lok Sabha Elections 2009 would be held in five phases on April 16, April 23, April 30, May 7 and May 13.

The poll results will be declared on May 16.
