October 1 (1700 hrs) Zee News Ltd on Wednesday launched Zee 24 Ghante Chhattisgarh, taking total number of channels in its bouquet to 35.

The launch of the channel took place in the Chhattisgarh capital Raipur.

Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh, popular yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Suresh Goel from Zee group graced the occasion.

Background

Zee News is the first 24 hour news channel of India.

The channel was launched by Zee News Limited in 1992.

Zee News Limited is a part of Essel Group that operates news and regional entertainment channels.
