Apr 5, 2009: Zee News Limited would launch its new news channel especially dedicated to Uttar Pradesh and surrounding region on Sunday.

It would be a 24 hour news channel.

The channel would begin its telecast from 1900 hrs.

Earlier, the enterprise launched Zee 24 Ghante Chhattisgarh channel in October 2008.

Zee News is the first 24 hour news channel of India.

The channel was launched by Zee News Limited in 1992.

Zee News Limited is a part of Essel Group that operates news and regional entertainment channels.
