Gaurav and Sudha resolve their differences and find love in each other.

Deewansaheb calls Mahendra and asks him to come clean on Mazumdar's accusations. Deewansaheb puts before his son-on-law the list of frauds and bunglings, which forces , Mahendra to accept his guilt.

Deewansaheb orders Mahendra to leave his house. Mahendra pleads with Deewansaheb for a day's time.

However, before Deewansaheb could evict Mahendra, he is murdered by his son-in-law.
