A heartbroken Jaya thinks of committing suicide. She can not digest the fact that Madhur  dumped her to marry Rekha.
But Suchak pleads with her to see reason. He encourages her to fight the injustice and find a way to teach Madhur a lesson.
Madhur is in seventh heaven after marrying Rekha. His happiness is short-lived when, as per the family tradition, he is not allowed to sleep with Rekha until the couple is blessed by the family deity.
Jaya throws up another surprise. She announces her retirement and passes on all her rights, privileges and duties to Rekha since she is now the daughter-in-law of the family. Rekha gladly accepts the new role, not knowing whats in store for her.

A hilarious Gujarati play directed by Vipul Mehta, Parnine Pastaya, revolves around Jaya (Ketaki Dave), a typical house wife and her romantic husband Madhur (Rasik Dave).
Madhur wants Jaya to look fashionable and be as romantic as him. But Jaya, who is bogged down with daily chores, has no time for romance and refuses to oblige Madhur.
Fed-up, Madhur woos his secretary Rekha, and even goes to the extent of marrying her.
Suchak (Mukesh Rawal), Jaya's best friend and well-wisher, advises her to teach Madhur a lesson of his life. Jaya therefore announces her retirement and passes on the baton of responsibilities to Rekha.
