Milli and Vishal get engaged in the July 28 episode of 12/24 Karol Bagh aired on Zee TV. Everyone is happy except Milli, who is shattered by the sudden turn of events.

Abhi finds Milli crying. He tries to pacify Milli and tries to convince that she won't be forced to marry against her will. When Milli continues to be inconsolable, Abhi hugs her and asks her not to cry.

Simmi finds them in an embrace and is shocked. She is unable to decide whether to believe Abhi or to trust what she had just seen.

Unaware of the storm that had hit Simmi, Abhi keeps on convincing Milli. He asks Milli to give Vishal another chance and not to deny her love for him. Milli finally relents and agrees to meet Vishal the next day itself. However, she insists on Simmi and Abhi accompanying her.

After the ceremony, Mathurs prepare to leave. Mr Mathur requests Rajinder to allow Vishal to meet Milli. Abhi suggests a dinner date for Vishal and Milli and also announces that he and Simmi will also accompany them. While Rajinder and the Mathurs have no objection, Manju is livid while Simmi is shocked.

Seeing Manju busy cleaning the kitchen, Simmi asks her to go and rest. Manju, who was controlling her fury for quite some time, explodes. Manju seeks an explanation from Simmi about Abhi's interference in Milli's life. She warns Simmi to control Abhi.

The next day, Simmi asks Milli to go on the date with Vishal. Milli questions Simmi why she did not raise objections when the plan was being made. Milli expresses her hurt and anguish at her sudden engagement. Milli feels she is a burden on her family and they want to get rid of it at the earliest.

Will Manju realize the folly of her actions? Is Milli in love with Abhi?

Besides Rajinder and Manju, the Sethi family comprises of Simi (Smriti Kalra), Anuj (Waseem Mushtaq), Neetu (Sargun Mehta) and Mili (Hunar Halli). The show revolves around these four characters that have different attitudes towards life.
