In the August 14 episode of CID on Sony, a police informant, Harish is murdered in broad daylight. Investigations reveal that Harish had gained knowledge of a gang that plans to damage the reputation of the CID.

With the clues that are unearthed at Harish's home, the CID realizes that a famous plastic surgeon, Dr. Prakash is involved in the plan. Coincidentally the officers stumble upon Dr Prakash's dead body and realize that he helped a member of the gang impersonate a CID officer and penetrate the department. But who is the mole who plans to bring the CID down?

CID is a crime series aired on Sony Entertainment Television every Friday at 10 pm. The series is produced by Fireworks Productions and directed by B P Singh. The cast includes Shivaji Satam, Daya Shetty, Aditya Srivastav, Dinesh Phadnis and Narendra Gupta. It is the longest running crime serial in India.
CID is about a team of detectives belonging to the Crime Investigation Division (CID) lead by ACP Pradyuman.  Conducting in-depth investigation for every crime, the team leaves no stone unturned to nab culprits. Each episode of the serial features the CID team on a new investigation. Relying on their collective intelligence and latest methods of forensic science, the CID team persistently perseveres to bring the guilty to justice.
