During the play, Lacho shoots a poisonous arrow towards Gangadhar Rao in the February 8 episode of Jhansi Ki Rani aired on Zee TV. However, the arrow hits the mirror image of Gangadhar Rao.
Meanwhile, Motibai regains consciousness and gets worried when she recalls how Manu made her unconscious and took part in the play on her behalf.
In the court, everyone sings Motibai's praises for saving Gangadhar Rao in the nick of time. Since Manu has a veil on her face, Gangadhar Rao believes that the woman who saved him is indeed Motibai. He orders her to reveal her face. However, when the woman lifts the veil, it is Motibai who is standing in place of Manu. Manu had managed to vanish from the scene in the nick of time.
Just then, Tatyaguru drags Lacho to the court. He reveals to Gangadhar Rao and others that it was Lacho who had tried to kill Gangadhar Rao. Gauging the sudden turn of events, Ali Bahadur acts as if he condemns his mother's act and tries to strangulate her. However, Gangadhar Rao stops him and orders Lacho to be imprisoned.
Gangadhar Rao showers Motibai with praises and presents her with treasure. He also awards her the ‘Natya Shiromani' title for her performance in the play.
Back in her chamber, Manu nurses the wound caused by the arrow brushing past her.
