The story also delves into the lives of RajeShirkes, a rich business family from the same town. Rajmata Anasuya Shirke (Ashalata) presides over the family matters. Her elder son Ranvir RajeShirke (Milind Gunaji) is the power center of the house and owner of a large business empire. He is a dominating and aggressive man and often humiliates his wife (Nishigandha Wad) over minor issues.
Compared to the stern Ranvir Raje, his younger brother Vikramaditya (Subodh Bhave) is arrogant yet generous. While Ranvir handles politics and administration, Vikramaditya takes over the family business.
