Sudha suffers from an acute migraine attack and collapses on the spot after Surekha fakes that Sanjeev's family has broken off the marriage alliance.

After she regains her senses, Sudha angrily says that she wants to go to Sanjeev's house and ask for an explanation.

However, in the July 28 episode of Lajja on Zee Marathi, Surekha creates a huge hue and cry and says that they should not bend in front of them as their daughter is a gem and will find better alliances.

Sanjeev is upset and restless after the sudden turn of events. He keeps staring at Manu's photo and makes up his mind to call her up and open his heart. However, his mother comes by and reprimands him for pining for Manu. She warns him against calling up Manu or even thinking about her.

Vasumati calls up Shalaka and apologizes to her. She says that she is letting her free and will allow her to take her own decision. Shalaka says that she should also set her brother free and not press for his marriage. Vasumati does not look convinced but does not stretch the topic any further.

Meanwhile, Akash is disturbed about not being able to make any headway in the sex racket case. His mother notices him and advises him not to think too much as he is stressing himself out that way.

The man who has been keeping a watch on Komal's house tells his aide that Akash has been visiting the place regularly. He tells him that he will not wait there any longer lest the police guy gets suspicious of his activities.

Sudha is still disturbed and insists on calling up Sanjeev's mother. To avoid any trouble, Surekha herself picks up the phone and dials the number. However, she cuts the phone before it is answered. She then fakes her conversation with Sanjeev's mother and acts as if she was being abused for calling them up. She furiously bangs the phone and warns Sudha to never call up Sanjeev's greedy and selfish mother again.

Disgusted with the incident, Manu requests her mother to stop discussing the topic.

Lajja on Zee Marathi is the story of Manaswini Desai (fondly called Manu - played by Girija Oak), a happy-go-lucky girl from Alibaug. Manu plans to move to Mumbai for her ailing mother's treatment.
