In the August 13 (final episode) of Maayka aired on Zee TV, Mahi takes the driver's seat whereas an injured Shabd sits next to her, trying not to fall unconscious.
At one point, Mahi sees Soni in front of her, standing in the middle of the road. Memories of Soni humiliating her time and again flash in her mind.
Seething with anger and hatred, Mahi decides to run over Soni. At the very last moment, inches away from Soni, the car comes to a screeching halt.
Mohini, who witnesses all this from a distance, believes that nothing can separate Mahi and Soni.
Jeet and Shabd's family also reunite with each other and bury their differences.
The serial Maayka thus comes to an end with the character making a new beginning with this last episode.
A family drama, produced by Dheeraj Kumar of Creative Eye, and aired during prime time on Zee TV (Monday to Friday, 8 pm), Maayka is about a young girl, Soni, who remains strongly attached to her maiden home even after her marriage. The story explores the girl's lifelong bond with her maternal home.
After losing her parents in a bomb blast, Soni finds a confidante in her younger sister Maahi (Neha Bamb). Life changes after Soni's marriage to Veer (Vineet Raina) as she is not well accepted by her in-laws.
A fateful turn of events ruins Soni's life as she is widowed soon after marriage. A rude shock awaits her when she comes to know that her ex-boyfriend Jeet (Romit Raj; earlier played by Vikrant Rai) is now married to her sister-in-law Charanjit aka Cherry (Damini Anand). Angered at this revelation, Soni's mother-in-law (Shoma Anand) and Cherry make plans to oust her from the household. It is in fact Cherry who accidentally kills her own brother Veer while planning to kill Soni.
Soni now has to fight for her own survival even while trying to find justice for herself.
