Zara testifies before Kulwant's superiors and informs them about his ordeal in Pakistan.
In a surprise twist, the terrorists detonate the bomb but fail to blow up the army headquarters. The terrorists fearing Zara had betrayed them, shoot her down. Their escape bid fails and they find themselves surrounded by army soldiers.
Kulwant and Geet reveal that they knew Zara's hidden motives from the time she stepped outside her house. They confess, they had to play along to capture the terrorists and admit to switching the bag after Zara replaced it.
The family is happy that tough times are finally over. Mandira returning from exile joins her family as they prepare for Dolly and Sukhi's marriage.
