The story takes a shocking turn in the February 3 episode of Bidaai aired on Star Plus when the doctor reveals to Sadhana that a blood clot inside Kaushalya's brain needs to be treated immediately. Even before Sadhana can recoup from the shocking news, the doctor reveals another bomb shell; treatment will cost Rs 5-6 lakh.
Vineet is delighted on learning from his builder that he has received money from the bank.
When Sadhana reaches home, she lies to Prakashchand, Kaushalya and Vineet that Kaushalya's reports are normal. However, judging by Sadhana's expressions, Prakashchand realizes that something is wrong.
Will Kaushalya get treated?
Bidaai is about the lives of two cousins. Dark-complexioned Ragini (Parul Chauhan) and a fair complexioned Sadhana (Sara Khan).
Sadhana's father passed away during her childhood, she grew-up with her uncle Prakashchand's (Alok Nath) family, which consists of his wife Kaushalya (Vibha Chibber) and daughter Ragini. In spite of being just cousins, Sadhana and Ragini are closer than real sisters. They are similar in every sense except their skin color as Ragini is much darker than Sadhana. It is because of Sadhana's complexion that Kaushalya is jealous of her. However, Prakashchand has never differentiated between them.
Circumstances force Sadhana to marry mentally retarded Alekh Rajvansh (Angad Hasija). Sadhana copes with the mentally retarded husband and a taunting and overbearing mother-in-law Vasundhara (Seema Kapoor). When Ragini and Alekh's brother Ranvir (Kinshuk Mahajan) fell in love, Sadhana plays cupid for them. After a lot of drama, Vasundhara agrees for Ragini and Ranvir's marriage. However, Vasundhara feels ashamed to have a dark-skinned daughter-in-law.
The story focuses on Sadhana and Ragini's lives after they are married off (Bidaai). It narrates the ups and downs in their lives. Right now, Alekh's treatment is the main concern for Sadhana.
