This incident in the past leaves such an impression on Alekh that he hates and avoids his mother Vasundhara. He is however, very close to his maternal aunt Ambika.

In spite of his condition, he shows a lot of affection and care for his family, especially his wife Sadhana. In fact, at times he is ready to do anything to make Sadhana happy.
