In the August 25 episode of Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma aired on SAB TV, Tapu decides to take revenge from Bhide. He changes the Ganapati Utsav donation amount that Bhide had written on the pamphlets to be distributed in the society from Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000.
All the residents of the society are shocked to see the amount and demand an explanation from Bhide. Bhide clears the confusion by explaining that the donation amount is Rs 1,000 and not Rs 10,000.
Later, Tapu confesses to Bhide that he had changed the amount written on the pamphlets. Tapu is surprised when Bhide hands over the responsibility of organizing the Ganesh Utsav in Gokuldham society to him.

The show is a laugh riot revolving around the residents of Gokuldham housing society. The protagonist, Jethalal Gada (Dilip Joshi), is a typical Gujarati businessman, married to Daya (Disha Wakani). They have a very mischievous son Tipendra (Bhavya Gandhi) fondly called Tapu. Jethalal keeps throwing his weight around at home, but is very scared of his father Champaklal (Amit Bhatt).
The sitcom not only tickles the funny bone but also forces the viewer to ponder on socially relevant issues. The soap attempts to enlighten its viewers in a humorous manner.
