Show Story

Based on the famous weekly Gujarati series Duniya Ne Undha Chasma written by eminent writer Tarak Mehta, the sitcom Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma is produced by Assit Modi of Neela Telefilms and aired on SAB TV.

The show is a laugh riot revolving around the residents of Gokuldham housing society. The protagonist, Jethalal Gada (Dilip Joshi), is a typical Gujarati businessman, married to Daya (Disha Wakani). They have a very mischievous son Tipendra (Bhavya Gandhi) fondly called Tapu. Jethalal keeps throwing his weight around at home, but is very scared of his father Champaklal (Amit Bhatt).

The sitcom not only tickles the funny bone but also forces the viewer to ponder on socially relevant issues. The soap attempts to enlighten its viewers in a humorous manner.
